Sharon Blomfield

You don't need to live on a Greek isle to feel at home there. You don't even need to be Greek.

Sharon Blomfield, a Canadian traveller and writer, was going to go to Sifnos in the Cyclades but once. The island had other ideas about that. It put its hooks into her, captured her heart, and has drawn her back again and again. Two books and a third due in late 2026, the Sifnos Chronicles series, are the result.

Sharon lives in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada with her husband and travelling companion, photographer Jim Blomfield. She has contributed stories about her travels from Europe to the Pacific to publications, Canada's Globe and Mail, The Boston Globe, and France's Courrier International among them. Inspired by a career as an educator before all that, she loves to support other writers as a workshop leader and in critiquing individuals' works. She is a proud member of The Writers Union of Canada.
